I am excited to announce that i am starting a new series of photographs called “Pride in Photographs” This new project will consist of photographs from gay couples from all walks of life and a little about them. I have already started shooting for it and cant wait to get out the photographs for everyone to see!
On an even more exciting note I have made these Pride in Photographs bracelets for this special occasion. Reason being is because I have always wanted to do something to raise gay rights awareness and do something to help do my part.
So i am excited to say that 50% of every purchased bracelet will go to the Ali Forney Center in New York City. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Ali Forney Center, It is a homeless shelter who house gay teens or any gay,bi,transexual individual that has been kicked out of their homes or who are homeless. I have had an idea to raise money for some sort of gay cause but I just wasent sure which one I wanted to pick. After hearing about how Bea Arthur donated a bunch of money to this center when she passed away I had to look it up for my self and figure out what it was. Once i read about it I knew it was the perfect cause to help support.
The bracelets are black & white and embossed in grey.

So when i was in toronto for gay pride weekend I went over to the Bearwear tent to check out there merch as i do every year and i spotted this awesome windbreaker. As i looked through them I came to see that they dident have a small and it dosent surprise me as in they are a clothing line based around larger men so I was really set on getting that windbreaker and went over to one of the owner and see if they could make me one that was my size. Lucky enough they could! When I had asked about it they had offered to custommize it anyways i wanted and so i took advantage of the offer. As you can see from the picture i had my nickname embroidered into the upper sleeve.

So a couple weeks ago i went down to north Carolina for a bear event called Club Cub that was put on by my good friends over at WoofTease.
During this trip i was gonna make sure i took a lot of photos with film since it was my only real vacation the entire summer since i was working full time over at Zumiez. I got to meet a lot of new people and see a bunch of familiar faces as well.

I was the official photographer for this event and i took a bunch of photographs that were all digital, but they were more candid shots that were going to be used for promotional use. I dident get to fancy with my digital camera but this shot that I really took my time with.

A couple weeks ago when i was back in buffalo to visit friends i went over to my tattoo artist shop, Rise Above Tattoo.
Over the past couple of years these guys have grown to be my friends rather then just guys who tattoo me. If youre ever in buffalo NY and looking to get a tattoo then these are ur guys.

Every year i got to Toronto Gay Pride and it gets better every time i go. Thousands of people just pack the streets to show their true colors and their pride. its always an awesome experience. i dident get to shoot much but here are some shots i did manage to take.

Last month I drove to Rochester,NY to see my good friends in the bands A Loss For Words and Such Gold play a show. At that time they were on tour with each other and seeing them is always a blast. I envy them so much because i would love to jump in a van with my best friends and just tour the US. Its something ive wanted to do for so long. (not to mention all the pictures I would take)

So me and earl are stuck in JFK airport for 3 hours and i thought what a good time to post something on my blog. We are headed to Charlotte,NC for the weekend just to relax and get away from all the work we have been doing over the past couple of months. JP decided to stay home for this trip and relax by him self so we are one sort this weekend but thats not stopping us!

sadly even on vacation there is still work to be done. (i hate his blackberry)
finally hes done with that.
Here in JFK i got to use one of of those giant best buy mobile vending machines that has all the electronics in it. I was in desperate need of new headphones because the ones my brother got me for my birthday 2 years ago were shot. I knew i wanted skull candy head phones because of learning about them from selling them at zumiez but i wasent sure which ones. I spotted the full metal jackets online a few weeks ago but sadly zumiez dident carry them. So as i was walking out from my flight i spotted them in this giant machine and figured….why not. I needed new head phones and here they were. So i dropped a decent amount of cash on new head phones and hopefully they will last me a loooooong time. So far these things are great and made completely out of metal. (other then the wiring)
I hope to have some pics from my trip as i go along! (digital that is, i have a crap load of film that is waiting to get processed and i really want to show it to everyone)
